New application Wubi:
The new system also added to the project Wubi. This Windows-based application through which you can install Ubuntu from the Windows operating system on the same partition. With Wubi installation becomes much easier and more affordable for ordinary users, and do not need to partition your hard disk partitions. Remove the system you can use familiar tools Add / Remove Programs Windows.

Five major innovations in Ubuntu 10.04:
1. Manual. For many decades, software vendors are making user guide (manual) to their products. But despite this, most users will use to teach special books the authors or simply cease to use complicated software operation. Find answers virtually all questions regarding the Linux operating system can be in specialized forums such as Linux Questions or Ubuntu Forums, but for this you need to have basic skills with a personal computer and a desire to make efforts to solve the current problem. But for most users, this option is not suitable. Ubuntu 10.04 includes a very detailed, but the written description, user guide in PDF. Program view PDF files included in the standard set of operating system software that will allow a greater number of new users successfully get started with Ubuntu.

2. Social networks. If the user manuals first appeared in 1980-ies, the social network as a fully fledged part of the operating system, are the achievement of 2010. Lucid Lynx allows you to quickly connect to many popular social networks directly from your desktop. For this purpose a special application, which was called Gwibber. At the moment, it supports social networks Digg, Facebook, Flickr, Identi.ca, Jaiku, Twitter, and also feeds RSS. This application integrates MeMenu and allows one-button access to all your accounts from social networking.

3. New default theme. The main desktop environment Ubuntu 10.04 will be GNOME 2.28. Company Canonical decided not to move to an experimental version of GNOME 3, which is still in beta. Work on the GNOME 3 should be completed in September, which means that the version of the working environment will become part of the next version of Ubuntu - 10.10. But still Interface Ubuntu changed. After a year of brown tones theme Human developers decided to make its operating system more bright and vivid, using the theme in orange color. In general, it is not tired of talking, Ubuntu has become more friendly to the user. Is the new default theme the true achievement designers Canonical? For advanced users, the difference is not perceptible, but newcomers nice color interface to please.

4. Simplifying programs. When the company decided to exclude Canonical popular graphics editor GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) from the standard Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, many users are disappointed. Guide Canonical argued its decision that plans to equip its operating system software to ensure only those with whom just work, and GIMP still is quite complex in the work program. This means that Ubuntu developers are willing to sacrifice functionality for simplicity. That is why even in previous versions of Ubuntu software for recording CDs GnomeBaker was replaced by Brasero. Basic video editor will be more easy to work PiTiVi, rather than the more functional Cinelerra. Install additional programs are also much easier by using Ubuntu Software Center. The plan of Canonical emerges quite clearly: first the user will learn to work with simple programs, and later be able to quickly and easily install a more functional and complex.

5. Faster loading. Lucid Lynx may not load as fast as the other popular Linux distribution Fedora, but the time from cold start to fully boot the system in comparison with the previous version of Ubuntu has decreased. The aim of the developers is the download time of ten seconds, which will be achieved through the application Upstart, which will replace the old demon of initialization.

System requirements:
-Processor: 700 MHz or higher
-Hard disk: minimum - 6 GB Recommended - 10 GB

Installation:
1. Download image.
2. Burn to CD disc.
3. Insert the disc with the image of the drive.
4. Follow the prompts.
